Allscott Meads: A Year of Milestones and Community Growth in 2023

As we bid farewell to 2023, we take a moment to reflect on the significant milestones achieved at Allscott Meads throughout the year.

Kicking off the year on a high note, February marked the commencement of works on phase 2, promising the addition of 269 new homes to the existing 201 residences from phase 1. This ambitious three-year project is set to elevate the total number of homes at the development to an impressive 470.

The excitement continued in February with our first open weekend, providing an excellent opportunity to engage with prospective buyers and share details about the eagerly anticipated new phase at Allscott Meads.

June was a standout month for Allscott Meads as we received the of Placemaking Project of the Year award at the Insider Midlands Residential Property Awards. This accolade recognised the remarkable transformation of a former industrial site into a unique and eye-catching space. The judges commented that it is “truly pioneering place-making”.

July saw the completion and handover of the first two homes in phase 2. Plot 332, the Edgmond, a three-bedroom detached family home with a detached single garage, and Plot 331, the Claremont, an attractive semi-detached three-bedroom home.

Embraced by the Allscott Meads community, in September, Allscott Meads Primary School opened to students for the first time. The brand-new facility stands as a testament to educational brilliance suitable for up to 150 pupils.

Anticipation peaked in October with the unveiling of two new show homes in phase two. The open weekend event drew an unprecedented 150 visitors over two days. The four-bedroom detached Sutton home and the three-bedroom semi-detached Longden showcase the quality and design at Allscott Meads, attracting keen interest from potential buyers.

November brought further recognition for our development as we were highly commended in the Regeneration Initiative category and shortlisted for Best Small Housebuilder of the Year at the prestigious Housebuilder Awards 2023 held in London.

Closing the year on a high note in December, the new community sports and social facilities were officially handed over. Delivered by SJ Roberts Construction, these state-of-the-art facilities fulfill the vision set by British Sugar after the closure of the factory in 2007. The two-storey building features modern amenities, including changing rooms, function rooms, a kitchen, and full disabled access, complemented by new football pitches and bowling greens. This following the opening earlier in the year of Allscott Meads Primary School also built by S J Roberts Construction.

Reservations in the final quarter of 2023 have surpassed all expectations, bucking the national trend, and we’re very excited about what’s to come in 2024 as we look forward to witnessing more families become part of the vibrant Allscott Meads community!
