Our Story
Launched in 2016, S J Roberts Homes is part of the S J Roberts Group, a group established by their Chairman over 30 years ago. With a wealth of experienced workforce and experience building new homes for clients like Severn Homes and Wyro Developments, S J Roberts Homes expanded into building new homes in the Shropshire area establishing itself as a quality, local housebuilder. With practical, well equipped and quality new homes at the core of its belief new homes designed to last with quality finishes and specifications were born.
LABC
S J Roberts Homes has an established working relationship with the LABC who provide their 10 year structural warranty. Regularly visiting the new homes developments the LABC keep a further quality control measure over all our new homes providing purchasers with the comfort that their home is being constructed to the highest quality.
SJ Roberts Group
Launched in 2016, SJ Roberts Homes is part of the SJ Roberts Group, a company founded over thirty years ago with an established reputation as a leading name in contract construction and timber frame engineering. Whilst the group has previously built hundreds of new homes across Shropshire and the adjoining counties these have been on behalf of clients, and Wyro Developments, our joint venture with the Wynnstay Group. SJ Roberts Homes is now our dedicated new home building division.
Environmental
S J Roberts Homes understands and is committed to the Environmental Protection Act and in particular the management of its company’s activities on the environment. They aim by regular recording, reviewing and auditing of all the company’s activities to reduce their impact on the environment. Being a new homes developer, they work closely with Landscape Architects to protect the green areas on their new developments and to encourage and in many circumstances enhance and provide new habitats for the flora and fauna to thrive. Frequently Asked Questions
What is an Early Bird Reservation?
An early-bird reservation allows you to pre-reserve a particular plot without the price or property being formally released for full reservation. You are then given first refusal on this plot when it is released for sale. A £300 deposit for 1-3 bedroom homes or a £500 deposit for 4-5 bedroom homes is required to secure the Earlybird but this is fully refunded if you are unable to proceed to full reservation within the agreed timeframe.
When do I exchange contracts?
It can take approximately six to eight weeks from reservation of your new home until the exchange of contracts. This does depend on the progress of the conveyancing process which will be carried out by your solicitor.
How do I reserve my new home?
In order to reserve one of our homes you will need to be fully proceedable, this means being sold subject to contract on your existing property or having the funds available to purchase the property, this can be via a valid mortgage offer. You will be invited to a full reservation appointment with one of our sales negotiators who will run through the process with you and answer any questions that you may have. You will be required to put down a reservation fee of either £500 or £1000 at this appointment.
